1948 Lincoln Continental Convertible Construction Details

The kit features a multi-piece body, so I deviated from the instructions by assembling the body first. That allowed me to fill seams and apply a uniform paint job. I custom mixed a blue-black enamel typical of the period and applied it with an airbrush.

Unfortunately Lindberg deleted the original plastic wheels and tires and substituted those with tires that were grossly out of scale. I used the kit's wheels but added tires from The Modelhaus to boost authenticity.
