Q:
Since I’m trying to get back to models after an unwanted time
off the hobby, I’m asking for a hint. How did you manage to
paint the headlight bezels in the '57
Chrysler? It seems tricky to me, and I’d love to make a
work as good as yours in that delightful kit.
Ruy
A: I
used an airbrush to paint it with '57 Copper Brown metallic lacquer
from MCW
Automotive Finishes. I used the same lacquer and a small detail
brush to do the headlight bezels by hand. It was very thin for airbrush
use, so it took several coats, but I think it worked pretty well;
because it was so thin, doing the small detail painting was easier
than you would expect.
